The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever. – Jacques Yves Cousteau
This was our first family cruise and we were all excited. It is a 7-day Western Caribbean Cruise with stopovers at Roatan, Honduras, Harvest Caye, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. We boarded in Miami and booked a room with a balcony. Make sure that you have the necessary visas and papers before you board. Carmen, being a non-US citizen, was still accepted because she had a Green Card.
As this is our first time, we have nothing to compare it to. But, Norwegian Cruise Line was the best. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. We made friends with a lot of them and kept in touch. We always ate in buffet. We just wanted having a lot of food options and where Charles can just be himself. Eating in a formal restaurant would mean booking a babysitter for Charles or Charles had to behave if he was with us – which was impossible for a toddler!
They also have lots of activities prepared for each day. They have baby changing area in rest rooms, play room and kids pool! So your kids will never get bored. If you think you will get sea sick, bring some medicines.
We can’t wait for our next cruise. We will definitely book with Norwegian Cruise Line again. However, we want to try other cruise lines too.
